Over the past year or two, I’ve increasingly found myself sailing Merope without any crew. And while a 38-foot sailboat can certainly be managed by one person, single-handers are not all that common a sight on San Francisco Bay where conditions can often get rough. The longer our singlehanded voyages get, the more rewarding they become.

Slow TV is a recording of an event that is typically long in duration and captures the entire event from beginning to end. While I’m currently limited in terms of recording technology and can’t usually record an entire sailing voyage, the vibe of these videos is very much in line with the slow tv ethos.
